Refund Policy
Donations to Chronicles Online are voluntary support for hosting and development. They are not a purchase. This page explains the very narrow situations in which we will refund a donation, and what cannot be refunded.
Donations are voluntary
Chronicles Online is a non-commercial fan project. When you donate, you are supporting the cost of running the server. The vouchers, EPs, VIP perks, and other rewards we send through in-game mail are a thank-you, not a product you bought. By donating you accept that the realm exists at the discretion of volunteers and may change or shut down at any time.
All donations are final
Once a donation has been confirmed and the rewards delivered to your in-game mailbox, the transaction is final and non-refundable. Please double-check the bundle, the character name, and the amount before sending payment.
- We do not refund regret, change of mind, or buyer's remorse.
- We do not refund items that have been used, traded, consumed, or destroyed.
- We do not refund because of in-game balance changes or rate adjustments after the fact.
- We do not refund accounts that have been banned for breaking the Terms of Service.
When we may refund
The only situations where staff will consider a refund:
- Duplicate payment — you accidentally sent the same donation twice within 24 hours and the second one has not been delivered yet.
- Wrong amount — payment received does not match a known bundle and rewards have not yet been mailed. We will refund the full amount or, on request, top it up to the nearest valid bundle.
- Server failure — payment received but rewards never delivered after 72 hours despite repeated attempts.
A refund decision is at the discretion of the staff team and is final. We may instead choose to re-deliver the rewards, credit the equivalent in vouchers, or apply the amount to a future donation, whichever is faster for both sides.
How to request a refund
- Open a ticket or send a direct message to a staff member in our Discord within 7 days of the donation.
- Include your in-game name, the date and amount of the donation, and proof of payment (screenshot of the transfer receipt or transaction reference).
- Do not delete or modify the receipt before contacting us.
Refund requests submitted later than 7 days, or without proof of payment, will not be processed.
Processing time
Approved refunds are returned through the same channel the donation arrived on (the same bank transfer, e-wallet, or PM-based method). Processing typically takes 1 to 7 working days depending on the channel. We will mark the rewards as forfeited from your in-game mailbox before issuing the refund — accepting both is not allowed.
Chargebacks and disputes
Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting staff is treated as a breach of these terms. Affected accounts may be locked, banned, or have donation privileges revoked, and any rewards delivered from the disputed donation will be removed from the account.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when payment methods or the donation flow changes. Major changes are
announced in #announcements on Discord. The version of this policy that was live at
the time of your donation applies to that donation.
